Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 2025
The Cove Discovery Project is committed to making its website accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of ability, technology, or circumstance. We want everyone who visits our site to feel welcome and to be able to access the content easily.
Our Commitment
We aim to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and user-friendly for everyone.
What We’ve Done
We have taken the following steps to improve accessibility across our website:
Ensured strong colour contrast between text and background
Included descriptive alt text for all images
Used clear, structured headings and semantic HTML
Enabled keyboard navigation where possible
Avoided flashing or moving content that could trigger discomfort
Tested across multiple devices and screen sizes
What We’re Working On
We recognise that accessibility is an ongoing process. We are currently reviewing:
Keyboard-only navigation for all interactive elements
Screen reader compatibility for dynamic content
Consistent and descriptive link naming
Known Issues
There may be some areas of the website that are not yet fully accessible:
Some third-party embedded content may not meet accessibility standards
Forms may not be fully optimised for screen readers
We are actively working to address these issues as part of our ongoing website improvements.
